Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope: My First Thoughts

Gravity Fitness Jump Rope in box.

My first interaction with the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope felt like unwrapping an early Christmas gift.

I am still rather taken aback at the swift delivery, a mere two days from the click of my order, which in my opinion, is a testament to their promise of excellent customer service.

The gravity of my anticipation was magnified by the box it arrived in, exuding an aura of quality that was reflected in the Gravity Fitness branding.

At GymCompare we’ve seen this before with the Gravity Fitness Pull Up Rack and their Anti-Sweat Grip tape so the attention to detail wasn’t surprising.

It was quite clear to me that considerable thought and effort had gone into ensuring its journey to my doorstep left the rope in an immaculate state. The packaging was meticulous, each part individually wrapped and protected.

It was this attention to detail that painted an image of a company that takes immense pride in its product. My first visual impression of the rope itself was nothing short of admiration.

The use of high-quality parts was unmistakable, and the craftsmanship led me to believe that it’s built to endure the demands of rigorous workouts. Aesthetically speaking, it had a premium and robust look, reinforcing my faith in its longevity.

In essence, my initial thoughts on the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope could be wrapped up as being thoroughly impressed. It’s not just a tool for fitness; it’s a well-packaged, high-quality promise of durability and a solid partner in my fitness journey.

The only thing I’d like to see changed is the addition of a carry case for it; other than that, it’s one of the best skipping ropes I’ve used (and I’ve used a lot of them throughout my life because of boxing and martial arts training).

Using The Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope

Adjusting the rope length was a breeze for me, thanks to the cleverly designed screw fasteners on either side. I was pleasantly surprised when the process took me less than half a minute – a testament to the user-friendly approach that Gravity Fitness has adopted.

While I did note a singular report online of a faulty fastener, knowing Gravity Fitness’s history of excellent customer service, I am convinced they would’ve been on hand to rectify the issue immediately.

The swift spin of the rope during workouts is something to marvel at, as the end bearings take care of the momentum and thereby, save my wrists from unnecessary strain.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: yes, I did whip myself a few times, and yes, it stung. However, bear in mind, this is a steel-coated rope we’re talking about.

You might cop a few welts here and there, but believe me when I say the performance and durability it offers far outweigh the occasional discomfort. It’s a trade-off I’m more than willing to accept.

The knurled handles are another feature that I must applaud. In the throes of a sweaty workout, the last thing you want is your rope slipping out of your grasp.

With these handles, I found my grip remained firm, even during the most intense sessions. And, as an added boon, the anti-tangle design is a blessing. Simply toss it in your gym bag without a second thought to it becoming a knotted mess.

I wholeheartedly endorse the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope; it’s a testament to the fact that a great workout tool needn’t be complicated, just well thought out.

Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope: The Price

Gravity Fitness Jump Rope tied together

Stepping into the ring with Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope, priced at a mere £13, has been a revelation. It’s not often that you come across such fantastic value for money in this space.

You might cast an eye on cheaper ropes, but trust me, they’ll have you entangled in disappointment before your sweat hits the floor. I’m all for a bargain, but not when it compromises quality.

Here, you’re dishing out a touch more coin, but for that, you get an exceptionally crafted piece of kit that stands head and shoulders above the competition.

And let’s not skirt around the subject of higher-priced ropes; some of them could learn a thing or two from Gravity Fitness. They boast heftier price tags but just can’t keep up the pace.

The Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope is a genuine standout – it’s a knockout deal in my book, no two ways about it. Take it from me; your wallet and your workout will be thanking you. So, the final verdict?

Absolute no-brainer, mate. Grab one before they’re all snatched up.

Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope: The Materials

The minute you lay your hands on its CVC Gravity branded aluminium handles, you immediately sense the impeccable craftsmanship.

The rope is 3 metres of robust cable, 2.6mm in diameter, combining strength and flexibility in an exquisite balance. The handles, at 15cm, feel just right, marrying heft and ease of use like no other rope I’ve swung.

Then there’s the PVC-protected coated steel cable – an absolute game changer. I’m gobsmacked at the longevity it offers! It’s not just fit for your home workouts but robust enough for the rigours of a commercial gym.

That, my friends, is what I call getting bang for your buck.

Now, I’ve twirled my fair share of ropes, and let me tell you, the ball-bearing swivel on this one is a revelation. Tangles are a bygone nuisance, and you can focus on what truly matters – your workout.

The easily adjustable length is a godsend too, perfect for accommodating everyone from the fledgling skipper to the seasoned pro.

In my opinion, and I don’t say this lightly, the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope redefines portability, functionality, and quality.

So whether you’re busting out a quick HIIT session or spending some quality time with endurance cardio, this splendid bit of kit will change the game for you.

What Can You Do With The Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope?

Wondering what workouts you can do with the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope?

Here are workouts for different skill levels using the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope

Remember to warm up before starting and cool down afterwards. A brisk walk or light jogging for 5-10 minutes should be good enough for both.

Beginner Workout

  • Basic Skip: Just jump over the rope with both feet at the same time. Do this for 1 minute, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4 times.
  • Boxer Skip: This time, alternate your weight from one foot to another, like boxers do during their training. Do this for 1 minute, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4 times.
  • Single Leg Jumps: Jump on one foot for 30 seconds, then switch to the other foot for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 3 times.

Intermediate Workout

  • Double Unders: This is when the rope passes under your feet twice with each jump. Aim to do 10 double unders, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 5 times.
  • Criss-Cross: Cross your arms in front of you as the rope comes over your head. Aim to do this for 1 minute, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4 times.
  • High Knees with Skipping: Skip the rope whilst bringing your knees as high as possible. Aim to do this for 1 minute, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4 times.

Advanced Workout

  • Single Leg Double Unders: Perform a double under while jumping on one leg. Aim to do 10 on each leg, rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4 times.
  • Freestyle: Mix all of the above! Feel free to include other techniques you may know as well. Aim to do this for 2 minutes, rest for 1 minute. Repeat this 3 times.

Remember, everyone’s body responds differently to exercise, so listen to your body and take it at your own pace.

If you’re feeling out of breath or dizzy, take a break and have some water. Have fun with your workout!

Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope: My Final Thoughts

In my honest opinion, the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope is an absolute gem, mates.

The robust materials used in its construction are top-notch, providing not just longevity but also an unrivalled workout experience.

What I especially adore is the rope itself – crafted exquisitely, it strikes the perfect balance between lightness and weight, affording me a workout that truly gets the heart racing. And the best part?

You can say goodbye to those pesky tangles, as the design of this skipping rope ensures a tangle-free operation.

It’s such a doddle to store away, although, in my humble opinion, it could really benefit from a carry bag. It’s a wee bit disappointing that one isn’t included, as it would undoubtedly enhance its portability.

But all in all, despite this minor setback, the Gravity Fitness Skipping Jump Rope is an outstanding piece of kit for anyone looking to pump up their stamina and cardiovascular health.

Believe me, it’s a belter!
